Broadening Our Landscape Vision: Ecology, Culture, and Art
A Virtual Education Series
June – September 2021
Registration is open to view the recordings!
This summer, NDAL held a live series of programming organized in two tracks: 1) Professional Practitioners and 2) Home Gardeners, Educators, & Students. Registration is open to view these session recordings for three months after each live date.
Topics for professionals range from ecology-based landscape design, to culturally reflective landscapes, to the art of making “wild” landscapes legible. Larry Weaner also teaches a five-part intensive course on native design, planting, and management.
Join the room – virtually – for our Prairie-side Chat series as Larry Weaner interviews and compares notes with influential practitioners including Leslie Sauer & Tom Wessels.
Home gardeners and educators explore ways to create landscapes that are ecologically healthy, easily managed, and beautiful on residential and educational properties.
Students interested in the landscape field learn from Landscape Architect Ujijji Davis Williams & Landscape Designer and Contractor Larry Weaner about what it takes to enter the field, and the opportunities & challenges of starting a small landscape construction or maintenance business, particularly when few resources are available.
